I remember when these were released the memory controller was cited as the reason for them rarely being able to get to that speed. Recently upgraded my motherboard to a strix 570 and the ram to vengeance rgb ryzen compatible (this stuff) and out of the box on docp it's hitting this:

So 3591mhz (more or less 3600). This down to the ram or the motherboard? I'm guessing more the motherboard.

Memory controller is on the CPU so I'd say that plays a big part.

It point blank refused to work at that speed on my crosshair x370 with my other vengeance rgb ram, that ram wasn't ryzen certified though whereas this "pro" stuff is.

Might have spoken too soon, had a couple of freezes in bfv and dumped to desktop. :o

I found 3200 easy, as in plug and play easy and even 3466 works on my wifes 2700x if I put my ram in her machine. Haven't tried to push it any harder than that but I was surprised, impressed even with how easy it all was compared to my first gen TR. I never thought even 3200 would be as easy as literally turning on xmp on her machine. It's literally using the cheapest memory and board known to man but just seems to just work. I might get her a new board at some point though as the cpu wants to always be running up in the 4gh+ all core but keeps hitting the power limits of the board.
