Unusually wired Cat5e cable

Somewhere on my travels I’ve acquired an unusually wired Cat5e cable.

One end is normal T568B:-

1. white/orange
2. orange/white
3. white/green
4. blue/white
5. white/blue
6. green/white
7. white/brown
8. brown/white

The other end is:-

1. brown/white
2. white/brown
3. blue/white
4. white/green
5. green/white
6. white/blue
7. orange/white
8. white/orange

It’s a factory made cable with moulded ends (very well made).

Does anyone recognise the wiring scheme? My best guess at the moment is something related to ISDN/PABX wiring.

Not as far as I know. If it was a crossover cable it would have worked when I tried to use it (Gigabit connection so auto-MDIX).

Can 5e doesn't have two striped cables does it?

Orange striped
Orange
Green stripe
Blue

Brown stripe

It looks like a crossover, but they started from the wrong end on the 2nd one.

Yea same function as a crossover, but its just not done the same as normal.

I finally found a match.

It appears to be a ATM cross over cable that must have been leftover when a PABX was recently installed.

Completely useless as a network cable.
