Up Grading My Computer

Happy Easter people, I currently have this rig

AMD 4000+
XFX 7800GT 256mb
Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX CAS2
Asus A8N32-SLi Premium nForce4 SLi
Antec P180 Case
Hiper Type R 580W Modular ATX2.2 PSU

With a NEC MultiSync LCD20WGX2

I wanna update this to play Unreal Tourny 3 at 1650x1080 at the best frame rate I can get.

I was thinking of getting a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ with a DX10 Card and Vista Ultimate OEM version any suggestions to make it better I haven't got loads of money was thinking of burrowing some money to do it up

What exactly is your budget? Core 2 Duo route would be much better than upgrading to a faster MHz AMD that would offer very little performance increase.

No point wasting money on Ultimate, just go for Premium. I hear theres not much advantage of going Ultimate, apart from parting you from your hard-earned.

If you can afford it, get an 8800 of some kind (GTS 320mb, 640mb, GTX, etc depending on your budget), and try and get the fastest Conroe you can afford.
