Upcoming Gig

Thanks for the comments :) The next gig is in march so I've got some time to plan some new ideas. I think I generally need wider lenses because there isn't much space behind the barriers.

Good shots! Glad you've found success doing gigs. Did one myself last night but with a 50mm f/1.8, so a different feel to the shots altogether. I'm keen on the results from the fisheye, you can capture much of the atmosphere.

Thanks :) The fisheye definitely makes the photos stand out.

They're nice shots but even in 4 of them the fisheye effect is getting tired for me. You need to get hold of some normal wide glass for variety - what's canon's equiv. of the 14-24? Hire that and see what you get if you're in limited space...

There's a 15mm Canon that's less distorted which I'm thinking of trying, but not sure if it'll be that wide on my crop body. I've found the Tokina 11-16 for hire, so I might give that a try :)

Nice photo's, I would have tried to get a few more shots of the crowd also...

I'll be going around the crowd during the next gig :)

Photo 6 from your Facebook link, now that's pretty cool use for a Fisheye :)

Thanks mate :) That was one of the main reasons I got the fisheye, so that I could fit all the decks in from that perspective! It didn't work as good on the crowd shots so I I'll take something just as wide without the distortion next time (as well as the fisheye)
