So i got an email today that wouldnt allow me to reply
It notified me i was in position 262 fpr an Asus ROG Strix RTX3090 OC edition.
Im gutted as i tried non stop to get one from just before 2pm, the overclockers website fell over and i only got back on and managed to place the order at 3pm exactly on the 24th sept, so i was hoping for a higher position quewise - i dont know how so many people got in before me as the website appeared down, at least till 3pm and i was tring non stop for an hour?
Now i have a couple of questions but sadly i cannot reply to the overclockers email and it basically tells me not to bother them asking either which i find a bit off.
So what does position 262 equate to timewise as regards me getting a card sent ?
even a rough estimate would be helpful ?
Am i looking at before the end of October ? November? Will it be this year ?
Is position 262 the number of people who ordered my specific Asus ROG Strix 3090 OC ?
Or is it 262 people who have ordered all manner of 3090 cards ?
If it is that many in front of me for the same card how many cards do they stock every week i wonder and what timescale would i be looking at to get mine ? even a rough estimate?
I guess id just hoped for a bit more clarity in honesty after them taking £1710 off me so that i can make a decision on whether to cancel my order and look elsewhere or not, all ive got is a number now and im no wiser as to what that means as regards my order coming, in fact im more frustrated now.
The most dissapointing thing here for me is that there are dozens of cards listed on ebay by scalpers and many of those cards will have come from overclockers, so it does make you feel a bit hard done by.
There is no way on earth id ever buy one form any of these greedy self centred pigs off ebay - id rather go without frankly but i am sitting here now wondering what is the best thing to do and without any idea whatsoever how long my wait is likely to be based on the number 262 ?
In honesty ive simply got a que number but what does that mean time wise
So im totally not sure what to do now as despite the no doubt great intentions from overclockers i dont feel it was a particularly helpful email - i cant even reply to it to ask overclockers as it wont let me.
Can anyone shed some light on the number 262 and what that means in time waiting and the eta for being that number ?
At least if i had a rough date i could make an educated decison
