" update.php script is accessible"

Being a total newbie to this web hosting business and in process of making my first ever published website and blogging using Drupal, I come across this error

" The update.php script is accessible to everyone without authentication check, which is a security risk. You must change the $update_free_access value in your settings.php back to FALSE."

I'm hunting around using my FTP trying to find this settings.php, anyone know where the general place it hides in? :confused:

Can't check right now, but IIRC it's in sites/default/

Found it, downloaded it, have edited to stop access and now cannot upload to the directory as the file is "critical" apparently :/ Bah so much to learn

You should be able to. How are you trying to upload it?

Using FileZilla as my FTP client, I'm currently up/downloading my HTML and other files no problem if that's any help :/
