Hey guys.

Had some luck, my budget is now consisting of £670. Preferably the Intel route and ATI GPUs.

Any reasonable specs to save me some money?

Thanks everyone!

Mike.

Would the PSU be okay for Crossfire? I would not need a cooler, would be happy to use the stock fan.

Does the HD's come with the Sata/suitable cables with OEM?

if you want crossfire capabilities you will need a new motherboard (you really want x8/x8 or x16/x16, dont go for x16/x4 or x16/x1). the new motherboard will increase the price by ~£45, unless you go for an asus one. the reason the asus motherboards are so cheap is because there have been a lot of people on these forums having problems with asus boards

you will also need a new PSU. i would reccommend anything above 700W by a reputable brand. i know corsair and XFX are fantastic, but im not so sure about the rest

ive no idea what the stock intel cooler is like, but you certainly wont get much overclocking room out of it. however, leaving the processor cooler for now, and getting a really good one at a later date is also a good move, as it can provide a welcome boost on an ageing rig
