Updated panel PWM frequency

I have an asus 900 eee PC. There is a new BIOS out for it v0501.

The update contains "Updated panel PWM frequency"

What is this?

PWM is a type of waveform, (a square one)

probably just tweaked it into spec or something

Does anyone know what this chages? After hours of searching all I can find is that the new BIOS removes the CPU options (Performance/Power save)

Currently in Performance the CPU runs at 900Mhz and at 630Mhz in powerssave mode.

Found some info for thosse who are interested

- no more porformance/powersave from bios
- runs at 900Mhz on external power and 630Mhz on battery ( eeectl still works )
- brightness levels scaled up a bit
- screen whine is gone

So it lloks like the PWM fixes the screen whine.
