Updated Processor

Just updated my processor from this:-
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 2.40GHz

To This....

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 LGA775 'Yorkfield' 2.83GHz 12MB-cache
managed to OC to 3.6 on air.

Nice o/c... Not sure if the upgrade will give you much better performance, but nice all the same.

Nice cool temps aswell, what cooler are you using?

what sort of temps are you getting underload?
1.42 Vcore is way to high for 3.6 should be able to hit that on around 1.34ish Vcore.
personally i wouldn't want to run my q9550 above 1.4 which is the maximum safe voltage stated by intel.

I lowered the cpu Voltage to 1.35 and still posted at 3.6

btw Sayso are you air or water for cooling?

Im on water now but got the clock under air. im using a P5Q-Pro so set up wouldn't be the same but will post settings if you want??

Its actually 1.625V but CPU-z shows it as 1.68V for some reason.
