updating drivers?

when a new driver released:

1. do you unistall previous one and install new one?

2. just install over it? (this is what i do)

3. unistall the old one and use DriverCleaner, then intall new one?

which is best?
 
i got a problem with DriverCleaner, when i choose a driver to be cleaned e.g. ATI it shows a list of files that been deleted, then when i run it again all the files are there and it says its cleaned then run it again and its the same and again and again and ......... i dont think its really deleting anything.


whats this all about?
