Updating graphics drivers, Driver wipe needed ?

So im just about to install the latest ATI drivers as it appears im behind on that front ^^ and was wondering which method is best, installing over, uninstalling, driver sweeper etc...

Any information would be appreciated

install over. last time I used a driver sweeper with ATI drivers it deleted ati inf files that caused subsequent installs to fail.

Installing over the top has worked perfectly for me over the past few years. ATI's driver installer is pretty good at detecting whether you have the latest version of each component and updating the necessary driver.

i usually uninstall the ATI program thingy in the add/remove programs (cant remember what its called in win 7)
then install the new driver

Count me in as well for installing over the top of old drivers with Ati drivers.
Less hassle that way.
