Hi all,
Anyone got suggestions for quality 5G outdoor routers?
Does anyone have experience with the teltonika OTD500? Or other teltonika 5g routers?
I'm planning an upgrade to our existing 4G based home broadband. We currently use a teltonika RUT950 4G router indoors with an aerial mounted on the chimney. This has provided good service for the past ~8 years.
I want to improve our connection speeds and we have good outdoor 5G coverage here (>100 Mbps down and 50-100 up). I'm inclined to go for an outdoor poe powered 5G router mounted on the wall of the house or possibly on the chimney (much harder to get to for installing and any maintenance).

Any suggestions?
Thanks

could you not try out a 5g indoor router with your current antenna setup? the zyxel 5g routers (and probably others) normally have TS9 connectors for external antennas so you can just use an adaptor to connect your current antenna array and see what sort of speeds you get before swapping out

Huge thread already:

I had posted in there, asking for recommendations for routers but thought I might get more responses from a new thread.
I didn't get much response on people's experiences with teltonika routers. I looked at zyxel but read people have had issues with the zyxel FWA710.
