Upgrade advice 10100+2070

Good shout. Does this mean i need more RAM then? I mean it says 15.9 but then says 13.8 at the bottom - which one is correct?
Should i try to get same manufacturer etc or any pair would do?

It’s definitely very close to maxing out memory.

Running some cat 5 to your router is a must.

but does the task manager confirm that i am missing ram?

Task Manager is telling you that Windows is fully using the RAM that you have.

do i need to buy a new cooler or a box cooler from 10100 would do?

The box cooler is pretty bad. You can get a decent cooler quite cheaply; if you move to AMD the stock cooler is good enough for the lower-end CPUs.

That B460 motherboard is 10th gen only.

I forgot to give the link:

So what combination of CPU+MB+ram would you go for at around £400ish?

I'd get a 10600/10600K, 10700/10700K, or something like:

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £442.97 (includes delivery: £7.99)

With this cooler (under £50).

Isn't 12600kf both faster and way cheaper?

12600K/12600KF is generally slower than the 5800X3D in games (does depend on the game), but is often faster in productivity. There's not a huge amount in it either way, but the X3D's cache can make a big difference in some games.

So quick hopefully last question - will going for a pair of 16gbs make a difference or can i buy another pair of 8gbs assuming clock is the same?
Would be a shame to sell 8s.

For example can i buy something like Crucial RAM 16GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Desktop Memory CT2K8G4DFRA32A on top of my corsair 3000Mhz?

Yes you can buy faster rated ram and it'll work with the slower. Normally advisable to match all 4 but not strictly necessary.
