Upgrade advice wanted

Realy should stay away from the red wine! I intended to buy the parts over the next three or four months... hammered the savings a bit last night lol.
Should all be here bu wednesday though, can't wait to try out the new monitor :)

Damn, just had to buy a new desk to go with it all hehe.
Used to do a bit of overclocking years ago, think the last chip I got good boost on was the old amd xp1700! so a little while back :p

New monitor (BenQ XL2720) and new mouse (G400S) turned up today :D
The monitor is worlds apart from my old Hyundai, bf4 looks lovely and the colours are far far better.
Gpu, ssd and cooler will be here tomorrow, so a night of tinkering on the cards me thinks!

Good luck and enjoy, should see a nice boost and it'll be even nicer to look at those improved frame rates :D

Gpu and cooler installed, ssd will wait till the weekend.
Wow! What a difference :D
Running at a higher res now, changed settings from high to ultra on bf4 and i'm now getting between 80 and 95 fps! Such a noticable difference :) Everything feels so much smoother, getting more kills and far easier to aim now. (still crap at it lol)

Cpu is running 40 degree cooler under load than the old stock intel jobby (never went above 47 under full load), so some overclocking will be taking place at the weekend too.

Thanks for the tips chaps.

Been playing around with overclocking a little, seems nice and stable at 4.2 at the moment with temps of around 50c.
Gonna give bf4 a whirl then maybe try pushing it a little more.

Well it seems I can push the cpu and remain stable.
As soon as I tinker withe the memory it becomes unstable however.
Very happy with the results of the upgrades, sits at a respectable 100fps in bf4 on ultra now :)
