Upgrade Advice

Well after some interesting problems, it would appear that my 8800GT is causing a whining noise through my speakers when loading games etc...

So I would like to replace it, but I really want to avoid this problem happening, is there something specific I should look out for to stop this from happening again? People have said its likely the capacitors which have caused the problem, is this just cause its a bit old or is it the design of the card?

i would presume its down to old age, but what psu you got?
