upgrade advice

Hi, My setup is overclockers pc with a x58 ud5 board 920 overclocked to 3.8 and 6gig off corsair ram .
I'm wanting to upgrade to 12gig do i buy the vengeance 12gig kit

Will i have to down clock my cpu if i fill all the 6 memory banks

I went from 6 to 12g, and found no differents in games or normal stuff i do.
I'm sure it will help in other ways, but i thought it was a wast of money for what i use it for. plus i found it harder to overclock back to 4.0 stable. so i sold them.
Depends what you use your computer for. other wise i wouldn't bother!
