On Friday morning I was buying an new PC and getting a 27" inch monitor.
By the end of the weekend that's all changed and I'm upgrading my current PC and getting 3x23" monitors. :D

My current spec is:
  • MD PHENOM2 X4 965 AM3 BLK
  • 4GB
  • ATI Radeon HD 4800
  • GByte MA790XT
  • Coolmaster Elite case
  • Viewsonic Vx912 monitor
  • 470GB Samsung HE5021J ATA HD
  • 380GB Samsung HD401LJ ATA HD
  • 800W EZCool 775Socket PSU (?)
  • Samsung SW252S CD
  • TECG DV-W58E DVD
I'm proposing to get the following:
  • Asus GeForce GTX 570 DirectCU II 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics
  • 3 X Asus VG236HE 23" TRUE 120Hz 3D Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black
  • Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive :D
  • Corsair Vengeance Arctic White 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
Asus are doing rather well out of me.

The extra mem will take me up to 12G - its only £40 so it seems silly not to do it while the case is open. Any other comments on? The GFX Card is the main concern. I think it will fit in the case. I think I'm sold on the monitors as I want 120Htz and a large high res-desktop so it seems the only way to go.

My finger is over the order button. So any advice is welcome.

I would add a better quality psu to the list as well.

Edit: I don't think the card can do 3 monitors!

That's very helpful feedback.

I guess I can change the PSU if need be as they are not that expensive. I though it would be ok for that card.

But the the fact that I was just about to spend a wad of a GFX card that's no use to me just shows what I know.

Thanks I'll revisit the card.

Thanks, a Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 FLEX looks just the job.

I'm a simple man & I don't think I have the patience for the SLI/XFire.
