Upgrade advice?

A RAM upgrade would be great, although 4GB is just about enough atm, yours is very slow. 8GB of 1600MhZ RAM will be great for now and last a while, and be cheap to expand on.

As for the RAM upgrade, the MhZ is basically the speed, so the 1600MhZ would basically be 3 times faster, and would speed up all processes a lot :)

If you can afford another £43 for a SSD. Went OEM CPU as you say you have water cooling already. Same as retail minus the heat sink and less warranty which shouldn't be a problem.

is this even true?
i mean i dont play bf3 but from friends who have/do they say nvidia runs it nicer, also if he plays at low res vram isnt going to do much?
 
If Nvidia cards are better on BF3 it's probably just because they're more powerful in general than the ones being compared to from AMD.

A single 7850 will run BF3 on Ultra easily at the resolutions 19" monitors put out, even a 1GB GTX 460 or 6850 could probably run it on Ultra at low resolutions.

Also BF3 likes 8GB of ram, so if you decide on a new build that would be the ideal amount.
