Hi
I am looking to upgrade my mobo-cpu-ram.
Curently i have a 12700-rog strix b-660-A-32GB corsair ram.Playing mostly poe-poe2 and i think a 9800x3d will help with the fps dips i have now in low 20's.
i want to upgrade only the above.I do have a 4070ti and a Dell 27" 1440,165hz monitor. The build is white but given the curent ram prices i dont care about all white build anymore.
Thank you.

oh. that's a bad combi. a 12700 should have really been paired with ddr5. probably explains the massive fps dips.

they use a 12400f, but the results speak for themselves

right now.. that best path would be a 14700 / 14900 as you dont have to spend £300 on ram
or just a big ass GPU upgrade

but.. if you want to go down that path buy this fast before it sell's they had 10 in stock and now just 1

this is the kit at full price

and it cheaper then a 32gb kit

From what I can see reading online (don't play it), that game is difficult to run/poorly optimised. Unless you really can't stand those drops, I'd just put up with it. Not an upgrade I'd be doing for ~£800, but maybe in another gen or two.

Yes, probably the best idea is just to put it on hold... I'm not going to spend the same amount on RAM as on CPU.And anyway my mobo is not ddr5 compatible.
