currently using hd5870 and has been a good card but want to upgrade,
been looking at the GTX580 would i see an improvement i cant find many comparison benchmarks.

I'm also on a 5870 and have considered lots of options for an upgrade. I'm sorely tempted by 6870's in crossfire as they would be cheaper and faster than a 580 up to 1900x1200.
If you want to save a bit of money, the other possibility is to get a 570 with a non-reference cooler such as the MSI Twin Frozr III and give it a mighty overclock.

your right, but i play a lot of FSX and unfortunately FSX dont support SLI so im sticking with my decision to get a 580.seen it for £370 somewhere else.

We are expecting 100% performance improvement from the 28nm cards in months. I would wait because 5850 is a very decent card.

Can't recommend SLI/CF of 1GB cards. The same fate of 8800 GS 384MB and 8800 GTS 320MB awaits.

1110 voltage

Obviously it's a reference design card so any brand will have the same chances of reaching these speeds.

Obviously, EVGA is one of the best brands aswell. quiet card and it looks good in my system :p

Is the reference cooler actually copping with the heat, considering the overclock and the voltage you using...?
