I have 6GB Patriot Memory 3x2GB (viper series)
A Coolermaster Gold 1000W Silent Pro PSU
and a Silverstone Raven Case in white.
So I'm looking at building a computer around these existing parts.
I'd like to aim for 4.6 on one of the newer Haswell chips, would I need to replace my memory? I'm aware I'll be limited on a per chip basis, Thats fine. I just want to get the max out of which ever lotto number I draw. I like the look of the Corsair H100 style coolers too(or a better alternative?)
It's going to be a gaming machine plain and simple. I'm not looking to spend silly amounts, but I am treating myself as a bit of a congratulations on a new job.
So probably £600 budget? 2TB storage and a SSD drive would be nice, I have a SSD in my laptop, and it's made a massive difference, so i'd love on in a desktop machine. Probably needs to be large enough for games like Skyrim that can get mod heavy.
GPU could probably do with a nice chunk of GDDR too. Again for mods and high res textures.
Although I don't see me gaming at massive resolutions, As I'm used to 1080p these days, I may find myself wondering past those resolutions when I get myself a new 24" monitor.
So spec me something nice please?
