upgrade but what ?

hi,
just got back into iracing and it just doesn't run it too smooth or nice looking now, was wondering which is better too do new gpu say 970 or spend same on new mobo,chip and ram. got around 300 ish for this.

sorry should have said sata2 but just got ssd from oc and case is nzxt not sure of model but its large,i used to have full size mobo. (xfx 780 i).
psu is a xfx 800w i think.

Or overclock the Q6600 by adding a big heatsink if you are using the stock one.

Get a 8GB RAM kit (can be reused on a Z97 update later) .

And get a big bad GFX card.

Hmmmm.

I think the CPU+board+RAM replacement will be good and should also add a bit more punch to the GTX480.

But I can also see the merits of just getting more RAM+faster GFX card.

cpu is clocked to 3.4 under an akasa tower,all i can get out of it. so new/more ram and gpu would be cheapest and best bang ? and the cpu/mobo/ram would be a more powerful overall system, but new gpu in future.
and my cpu will ok for new card ?

New RAM+GFX card is cheapest solution.

And add 8GB of RAM.

Your CPU+board will then be the worst part.
