Hi all, looking to upgrade for BF3. Although i do run at 55-80 FPS on ultra with AA forced in the ATI catalyst thingy.

Have a 2500k running at 4.4 and a 6870 hawk at 980/1180 speeds, I do have an MSI SLI board the p67a GD53. My Corsair VX550 will not take 2 graphics cards as it only has 2 ports GPU powering cables, do you recommend with a budget of £200 to get another 6870 and a 70-80 PSU.

Or sell the 6870 keep the PSU and spend £300 on a graphics card. (If i can get around £120 for the 6870)

Would appreciate some opinions.

Going to go for another 6870, would you guys recommend spending the extra £20 on the hawk version? I have one already but is the HIS version okay at £130? would love someone to recommend me a PSU to go with it, I cant spend much i guess 80 max.

If you are happy with your performance then I would keep what you have, those performance numbers sound pretty good - does the game look OK?

If you really do want a hardware upgrade then I would go for a second HD 6870 and this PSU. As for which 6870 to get, I would spend the bit extra on the hawk - it means you have a good chance of matching your current clockspeeds and you are presumably happy with the noise/performance of the cooling system.

Crossfire is the only way to go if you've already got a well OCd 2500k. An i7 won't make enough of a difference.

As was pointed out, wait to see how the retail release performs.

Got another 6870, same settings seen a maximum of 180 fps and almost constant 100 outside. Was usualy 55-80 max and a bit more in doors.
