God yes lol I still have my 955 BE its languishing in my media pc just now, I changed it back when IVY bridge came out and noticed a huge increase, your 4690k is two gens (well one gen and a refresh) after the IVY so you will see huge increase

Just gonna put put a GPU upgrade option out there. Would a 280x + his phenom be better than a 8320/4690k and a 7850?

I am not an expert on phenoms but I would like to know that an alternate solution has been considered.

+1 for 4690k if you are going that route. it may be a good idea to give us an idea of the type of games you will be playing? That would determine if you should go gpu or cpu

this seems to be one of the rarer cases where a cpu upgrade is the better choice!
good cpu that if HT is of no importance

mainly i play mmo's ..gw2 eso ect, seem to get reasonable fps until i hit large population/pvp areas.
