Just debating on upgrading my system guys.
I will mostly be gaming and playing games in high resolutions (2560*1600 mostly).
Will be using photoshop from time to time as well.
Considering just upgrading my CPU to this.
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 LGA775 'Yorkfield' 3.0GHz 12MB-cache (1333FSB) Processor - Retail
Or thinking of selling my exisiting CPU / Board / Memory (in sig) and getting an I7 setup :
I7 2.66ghz
Corsair 6GB DDR3 Dominator PC3-14400C9 1866MHz (3x2GB) Triple Channel DDR3 (TR3X6G1866C9DF)
Gigabyte EX58-UD3R Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
Or maybe get a better motherboard, toying with the idea at present.
Will cost me around £700 to upgrade.
Should I go for it, what real benefits will I see? I figure if i get a couple of hundred for my bits I have atm, will take the sting out of the I7 option.
