Upgrade dilemma...
So now haswell is out I can't help but want an upgrade but tbh for what I use the computer for I guess I've probably got a perfectly good setup...

X4 955 @3.8GHz maxing out at 48deg whilst gaming.
Gigabyte 770 ud3p mobo
8Gb team group elite ram
GTX 560 Ti 1Gb stock clock
1tb spinpoint F3
Corsair 550W psu
Antec 300

Money isn't really an issue but I don't really want to go for an i5 haswell if there's nothing to be gained...
Alternatively I guess one of those new Samsung SSD's and perhaps a new GPU could be the way to go...

I'm playing Hitman/crysis/skyrim on max settings on a 24" monitor. Maybe the 560 wants an oc but I've never oc'd a gpu :/

What are your thoughts/recommendations

Thanks

I recently upgraded from a 960T (@x6 and 4.0 Ghz, same mobo as you) and a 7950 to a haswell 4670k @ 4.5 Ghz and the difference is massive, everything seems smoother and snappier, well worth it

All my PCs are using SSD for C: and I only have Windows and Tools on there,so 60GB ones are fine.

They certainly do help to make the PC feel over all snappier yes.

The 955 ( I got one of those ) is a great chip and at 3.8, is even better, but I also have a couple of 6 and 8 Core AMDs and in truth, if you can, splash out on the Intels.
My intels are killing my AMDs. Im only using the AMDs cos Im a bit of a fan boy.

Hell, my Media Centre PC is an I7 though... Why I dont know. Talk about overkill
