Yep it's the 690.
I'm using VideoRedo and Gordian Knot (VirtualDub/Besweet) mainly. They use all six cores, accept besweet because it's single threaded.
With a 23min mpeg it's 3 mins quicker to encode to xvid than my old setup. First and second pass are 200FPS vs 130FPS.

Thats cool. I wish I had done a comparison when I swapped over to x6.
I use MeGUI for h264 and find that I get around 95% cpu usage on 2nd pass encoding but only around 25% for 1st pass. Odd but still nice and zippy compared to to my old 1.6 GHz C2D laptop!
