Upgrade for newer games

Hey guys, im going to upgrade this year, would now be a good time, or maybe wait a while.

Currently running a AMD phenom 965 quad core processor, 3.40 GHz
8gb ram, ddr 3 I think
windows 7 64 bit
and a 2gb radeon 6950 graphics card.

I game 1680x1050 on a 20 inch Samsung monitor

will be looking to play gta 5, witcher 3, battlefield 4 and a lot of other demanding games.



Looking at getting new mobo/cpu and graphics card, would around £450 get me 3 good parts ? thanks for any help, amd or intel ? any advice much appreciated

tweak on this for your budget, maybe a 280x or get a lower K part for some overclocking a 290 should be able to play games at high on 1080 easy

thats good too!

if i was you spend more on the cpu toward the cpu to gpu.

gpu is quicker and easier to change & CPU will last you longer

Thats what i do.

Yes, I would get Snips suggestion but get a 290 to last you longer.

if you can buy snips & get a 290 youll have fun for many years to come. high now maybe medium in 2 years+
