Upgrade from 6950: advice.

Hey guys..

Currently running an MSI 6950, looking to upgrade to something a bit more powerful..

Spend is around £200 can come and go a bit with that if needed..

Usually playing @ 1080 with as much visuals as possible turned on..

What ATI card would you recommend?

7870 starts at around £190 but it's not really much of an upgrade from a 6950 at all. To get any meaningful performance increase you need to spend £240-ish on a 7950.

edit: oh woops, you said 6950 and my brain read 6970. Yeah a 7870 isn't too shabby in some stuff then I guess, depends how much you can sell your 6950 for.

None really. had the same urges, but got persuaded it was a stupid idea and rightly so. Quite happy with my 6950 tbh.
