Upgrade from 75hz?

Hey guys,

My PC is finally finished how I want it. Its not the worlds biggest spec but good enough for the latest AAA's..

My question is the last piece, and one on the most important.. the monitor.

I have a 1080p 75hz 1ms iiyama monitor.

Would I massively benefit from a 1080p 144hz 1ms monitor??

Mainly thinking for games that are very conditional, such as CS GO??

I'm not sure about 75hz, but I went from 60hz to 144hz and the difference was night and day. Pube g and overwatch both run and are limited to my frame cap and refresh, so I'd say it's 100% worth upgrading as 75hz still seems low.

Have you tried looking at overclocking your current monitor though before you go spending? You can use custom resolution/refresh in Nvidia util.

Bit the bullet, going for a 144hz panel, really didn't want to, my iiyama is a great monitor, but anything to help my terrible CS play :p

I don't think you will regret it. I sold my LG one to a mate and he's gone from a 24" 60hz to the same size screen at 144hz and was utterly shocked at the difference. He was expecting marginal improvement, but said the difference was astonishing... which I can concur!

Wise choice either way chap, enjoy the new smooth as a dolphin experience :)
