Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card. I currently have a BFG 8800GT OC 512MB. The main reason i want to upgrade is the fact that the fan spins super loud after about 4 hours gameplay on L4D.

I want it to be able to handle COD4: MW2 / Assassins Creed 2 any furture releases next year.

I play at 1680 x 1050.

Many Thanks.

Whats your budget mate? I would say 5850 for £200 is your best option for the price.
4890 are really good also for £135, but lacks dx11. But I would stretch the £50 for the 5850.

+1 for 5850, I have upgraded a week ago from 8800GT as well, amazing, quiet card. I only have a problem with The Witcher but other games running fine

Upgrade to an Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 - which is what I have on my 8800GT, running totally passive.

Shouldnt set you back much more than £20 ;)

i strongly advised the 5800 series or the 5770, or even if you want to join the next gen of nvidia cards.

Ah yes forgot to mention the budget lol.

Well my bro is buying my card for £70 :D.

So i guess my budget would be around £170.

I will take a look at the 5xxx series

Thats what i will try and sell mine for.

Haha, well I did look online and see new is around £100 for some reason so £30 discount is good enough :D.
