Upgrade from a 1080 ?

OK so I have a Zotac Amp Extreme what would be the choices for upgrading please ?

2070s/2080 are your best options for your monitor.

1080 is still a good card, but struggles at that res with some titles, guess a lot of it depends what you play.

Get a 2080 amp extreme. It's one of the fastest 2080 cards you can get. You will get a noticeable improvement from the 1080. I did the same leap

I also have a 1080 tbh I've just installed metro exodus and this is the first game it can't handle maxed at my res of 3440*1440.

Anything above an RTX 2060 is technically more powerful, though I always like at least a 30% perf increase getting a new card in my system.

So for that you're looking at rtx 2070s/2080/2080s/2080Ti

I'm tempted to upgrade this black Friday if a good deal comes along, while my gtx 1080 is worth something on the bay.
When the 3000 series come out it will be worthless

Division 2 was the title that made me upgrade my 1080. Got the Ti but wish I had saved some money and gone 2080.

I have a 1080 at 1440p as well. Imo anything short of a 2070s isn't enough or beneficial enough of an upgrade. That's my next planned upgrade anyway.

2070s gives 1080ti perf at about £140 less of comparing rock bottom cards to each other . Has rtx too.

Not gonna lie I'd be happy with a 2070s but I want the 2080 or 2080s as doesn't it have more tensor cores?

2nd gen should be much better, whether NV will make it such is anyone's guess

There's no point holding out if you're framerates are dropping. Unless it's one of those upgrade itches that people talk about? I can never understand that.

1080 has got life in it still for years to come. 2070s is not powerful enough, 2080s is too expensive.

I have a 1080 and was looking at 5700 and modding it to 5700xt performance. However now sticking with 1080 and likely will until it dies. I don't think the cards are worth it these days. We need AMD to bring out a decent card at a good price with good drivers. Something the power of a 2080ti with the price of a 1660ti.

I wish I had a better card to hold me until the new cards come out but I really have to upgrade. I'm going from 1080p to 1440p in a few days and my 780 is not enough. It sucks that I have to get a new card right now because nothing seems worth it.

Oh well I'll get a 2070s and be done with it
