Hi
I'm searching for an upgrade for my P4 550 cpu. I'd like to stay intel and go for one of the c2d chips.
The problem is, I was originally going to upgrade to an E8400 chip (November time) but don't have that sort of cash atm after xmas so I'm looking for a replacement cpu for what i originally spec'd. I can just about push to afford an e7300 but was wondering if it might be worth going for the cheaper e5200 and using that till I can afford a e8xx cpu.
Will be paired with:
asus p5q pro mobo
asus raidon 4850 512mb
4 gb corsair ddr2 6400 twinx
vista 64bit
antec 300 case
Mostly used for gaming (cod4, F3 for example) and general use, some photoshop and stuff. Nothing too intense so long as it can run these I'll be happy. Would an e5200 be enough to tide me over?
