So I might have made a mistake and bought this due to being a cheap skate so I could use the rest on a better CPU and mobo.

Currently have a 24" single screen planning to play WoW and BF4 (hopefully on max settings) Will the R7 260 suffice for a while or should I just return this and scrounge up abit more dose and get a better card for the long run? Planning to go dual monitor, most likely 22" in the near future so what would be the direct upgrade?

If I was gaming and couldn't afford a 270X at the minimum I'd probably go second hand. Something like an HD7870 or GTX660 instead.

if its at least a 1920 x 1080 then you need to ditch the 260 and go for a 270x/7870 minimum or if you prefer a gtx 660 minimum as per above.

Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Vapor-X OC 3072MB £252 Best card for that money, and perfect for BF4 with Mantle coming.

The card you have now is an equivalent to a 7790 is it not? That should be good for 1080P at medium to high details. It also has 2gb of vram. Honestly if i was you id wait and see how it works and if its not enough then save up and get something decent and worth upgrading to like a 280X.

Out of my price range unless I wait for a month without a graphics card so will hunt for a 660.

Looked on the comparison site and the r7 just sucks to all cards out on the market.

Cheers all for the advice!

The GTX 660 is not much faster than your 260, at least get a 7870 / 270/X, the 660 is no upgrade from the 260.
