Upgrade from GTX 670 2gb help

Don't sli your 670. Hot, loud and limited to 2Gb of ram.

Do get a 4Gb card. Either 380 or 960.

I haven't looked at benchmarks, but I imagine the 380 is faster but the 960 will have better driver support for the latest games considering 9/10 of the AAA titles are Nvidia sponsored these days.

Members market might bag you a cheap 970 or 290.

Have a look at some benchmarks.

I'm a fan of Gigabyte. This looks good.

I would personally look at a second hand EVGA 780 Ti. Within your budget and don't need to worry about the card being second hand as the warranty will be for 3, 5 or even 10 years

Wouldn't buy that card its too expensive u could buy it new for less from ocuk when they were selling their last ones at special price not long ago iirc. 780ti I'd pay no more than £140. A non ti for £115.

Also I wouldn't bother with a 960 its no better than a 670 except in very few circumstances.

No.

Worthwhile upgrades are

290 or 290x
390
780ti
970

Anything else don't bother and just keep the 670 till u really need the extra fps for when a game is actually struggling. Which I haven't found yet as a fellow 670 owner.

Can I ask why u want to upgrade as in what game needs the boost for you etc? Have you over clocked ur CPU? Thought about ocing the GPU?

As really you should be good with that computer u have already.

That is true. The 670 is a great card at 1080. I just have it in my head that I want to upgrade. Could actually be doing with a monitor TBH :-)

CPU is OC'd @4ghz. I just actually started OCing the card again after having it at stock for a long while

If it was me I'd go for a nice new monitor maybe gsync one but there expensive, perhaps a nice gaming one that enhances dark scenes like benq I think do, 120mhz ones maybe. If u don't have a ssd maybe get one. If ur CPU is stock defo oc it to 4.5ghz easy with a good hsf or aio water cooler like I have.

If you can sell your 670 for 70 quid and pick up a 780 by adding another 70-80 quid that seems like a good deal/upgrade to me. That said your current card should be good for most things @ 1080. A SSD or putting the money towards a monitor might be a better choice.

I made the upgrade from a 680 to a 780 and it was a huge upgrade. From a 670 to a 780 you are nearly doubling the cuda cores, more vram and higher memory bandwidth.

For the price they are asking on MM it's madness not to get one. Sell the 670 for £60-70 and a 780 can be gotten for another £60-70.

Agree with this. I'd save up for a little longer to make your upgrade considerably more substantial.
