Upgrade from Ivy Bridge advice?

I only had an issue with one kit not running at XMP from, lots and lots of kits, and ironically it was a 3200MHz rated kit that wouldn't hit 3200MHz, or even 3000MHz, even with 1.4v. Have you had many faulty in the build you've been doing?

Couldn't find thread where the guy had asked OCuk and they didn't recommend it..saw this below...guessing that why Ocuk don't recommend as they must get higher returns than other sticks..just a google brings up a bit

Update in case anyone's interested, I went with the 5600X / B450 Tomahawk Max II / 32GB Corsair 3600 option. Did the rebuild today and it's definitely a big upgrade from the i5-3470 that was in there before... to the extent that my other half's PC is now faster than mine. So she's happy.

Couple of problems related to the very old Windows install still to fix but that's all.

Just wondering if your ram runs ok at 3600mhz on the B450 with 5600x? I'm considering this combo also.
Have a look on the support page of your motherboard for RAM that can run at 3600 if you’re really in doubt but AMD has largely run speeds of 3600+ for some time.

currently, high speed DIMMS are sitting in the 4400 speed range.
