Upgrade from Radeon hd6770

Looking to get my son a better graphics card for his computer the spec of which is below , he plays mainly the call of duty series , minecraft and battlefield , he's got a 22" monitor at the moment but I'm going to upgrade that as at the same time , any suggestions as to what would be a good upgrade for him please ?

i dont know about your budget for the monitor, but i would take 24"a 144hz freesync monitor over 27" regular monitor
