Upgrade from Realtek HD onboard

Noticed when I'm playing games at 4k I get pops in audio. I don't get it at HD resolution. I'm guessing its CPU util? Anyway what's a cheap soundcard that will handle games? My last discrete soundcard was a SB X-Fi.

Could be GPU related. That has to do a lot more work when you up resolution, more so than the CPU.

Trying a sound card would be the next step. They aren't immune to EMI, but certainly fare better than motherboard audio in general.

Cheapest good sound card would probably be a Audigy FX.
