Upgrade from S3, pointless?

Sorry for the stupid question, but when are the next phone announcements? Reckon there's anything worth holding out a little longer for?
 
I just went from S3 to note3 and there is quite a noticeable difference in speed and of course size. I choose the note 3 as i wanted the bigger phone and imho it's better than the s5 and £400
 
Looks like LG G2 is the best option. No idea if its different for upgrade but on EE for £29.99 a month (more than I planned) unlimited minutes/texts + 2GB data, should be plenty for me.
 
I'm in much the same position, my concern is whether by the time I'm due an upgrade I'l still be able to charge the blooming thing!!! It seems to be getting very picky about chargers.

I have a great nokia charger which used to be perfect, then became unreliable and not won't start charger it at all - but is fine with a Nexus 7. I purchased a new one of the same chargers and found that it won't charge unless I am forcefully pushing the connecter into the phone... so tis useless.

The only relaiable lead I have found is an old HTC one which works perfectly despite feeling like it'll fall out at any moment!
 
Sounds like its the cables that aren't happy though, rather than the actual phone? Else they should replace the board in the phone if the jack itself stops working.
 
Yetrue but I don't quite get why that would be? How can one lead that wobbles about in the socket be completely reliable and even when moving the phone around yet one which feels like it slots nicely into place and is held securely with the little locating lugs doesn't work at all? :confused:
 
Could be the join between the wire and the cable, and this sounds silly but try blowing/cleaning the port and the cable plug bit with a small bit of plastic or something.

I think that's what it's priced at with ee, see if I can squeeze something free out of the or go through a cashback site
