Upgrade gone wrong... what now?

That's the same size as the IceQ that won't fit in his case unfortunately.

Dave, you say the 780 is £100 overbudget, but you were up for 2x7950 for £370 earlier.
Sure you can't stretch an extra £30? :)

If the 780 is a no go then 770 with the games is a good deal.

Can't fault your choices, and remember that the matrix is a 3 slot card. It's quite large.

You're correct bud, but stopped myself before I got too excited! Was all set for the matrix till I found out it ain't got a hdmi output!

Aye the matrix is no good for me as I want a direct hdmi lead running from the card, why this wasn't fitted to the card I'll never understand.

I'm sorta set on the Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Vapor-X OC 3072MB, but that darn Asus 770 is blimming tempting too.

Gonna see the reviews and see if i can find out which is better, i'm done in looking for a blimming graphics card for hours... now i find my cpu is idleing at 40c and getting to 90c running prime 95, reseated the heat sink, which is an artic one and it hasn't made much difference, so my budget may be lower now as it seems i'll need a new cpu cooler too :(

DVI to HDMI adaptor.... They share the same video signal and work without issues using a conversion block.

I need the surround sound from the card mate, it's going straight into an AV receiver.

Looks like the Nvidia free games offer is over... The Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Vapor-X OC 3072MB is looking like the one.

Erm.. I dunno, I don't really like any of them tbh :)

The Matrix should be decent, but there's bloody GPU tweak to put up with... Still, it's a good price, but don't be fooled by the grand promises that the description makes.

ED: If you really want a substantial upgrade, maybe look at selling both your cards and grabbing a 780?

I got the http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-309-AS&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1341 for a good price, spent more then I wanted to really but my first upgrade since jan 2010(not counting the 660 gtx's!)!
