I last upgraded my computer about 18 months ago and spent a hell of a lot on parts (£200 for 2gb ram)

Current spec is in sig, but due to a fault, im just planning ahead that my graphics card might need replacing and thought i might be able to get an upgrade out of it, but due to limited funds i cant really spend much.

It's been a while since I looked at the market so I have no idea whats what :D

Is there any upgrade out there that can be obtained for about £60-80?

wait around 3 weeks for new cards and see what it does to prices of current cards like the 8800GTs and 3870s

or get 3850 new now

Get it RMA'd asap, you'll get a free upgrade as they don't make em anymore :D

Umm any way to check?
The picture on the fan casing looks like the one being sold on OC now

Im just a bit buzzing as when I got my 7950, it was about a week before the DX10 cards came out and ive been kicking myself since lol

Check with GPUZ (as above) to be sure, but yeah..could be the 640.

It's still a very good card but the newer one is a bit faster due to having higher shader clocks and more stream processors.

Yeah looks like a 640MB one, still a damn good card and considerably better than your old one, nice haul :D
