Upgrade help (Not just a spec me)

I'm a little out of tune with the current computer market as I only really take notice when I'm due an upgrade.

Can someone tell me the difference between the motherboard chipsets and the most common socket type to go for at the moment?

I've got £800 to build a base unit and I've been looking at this bundle...

What W PSU would I require to power that? Would a 500W be fine?
 
What other bits do you have to go with the build? the GFX card is an important part in making a decision on PSU wattage.

I need everything, I'm selling my old desktop this Monday and I've got £800 for a new build. I'm just a little confused on what components are best to go for. I'd rather save money on a cheap case and get a hefty inside.

Exactly, The CX 500M is only a few pounds more.

I wouldn't get the Green HDD, i think they are slower, the one i specced is full 7200rpm.

Why the 660 over the 7850? Saving £50 for very similar performance (if not better).

The rest looks pretty good.
