Thinking of purchasing the following;

Intel Core 2 Duo E2140 "LGA775 Conroe" 1.60GHz (800FSB)
Asus P5K Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2
Zalman VNF100 Fanless VGA Cooler
OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series

already have the following;

Zalman CNPS8700 LED Cooler
XFX GeForce 7800GT Extreme LED Edition [480/1200]
Seagate Barracuda 250GB / 320GB SATA II 16MB Cache
Samsung CDDVDW SH-S203B
Antec Sonata
Corsair HX520
Samsung SyncMaster 172x

Questions;

What sort of overclock do you lot think I would get on that system? I have two extra fans in side of the case to assist airflow, so I am assuming the cooling is adequate....

Is there any way I could get away without having to do a complete re-installation of windows and all my files etc?

How come OCUK advertise E2140 / 2160 / 2180 / 2200 as Core 2 Duo when they are in fact Pentium Dual-Core?

Because they are the same just with 1Mb less L2 cache, only reason why Intel call them Pentium is because that's the name the majority of people are familiar with.

I don't think you can get away without reinstalling Windows because it's a pretty big step. If you uninstall the chipset drivers beforehand then you might get away with it but don't hold your breath.

If you got one of the M0 stepping E2140 then you'll be looking at 3Ghz+ easy very likely, 3.2Ghz 100% OC is very possible also with a decent cooler.

Also you're sig is too big the max is 4 lines each not exceeding 400 px. long.
