Upgrade help.

Maybe someone will post a better keyboard, but I see none on the market at the moment.

Personally, I swear by my Saitek Eclipse, my next keyboard to replace it, should it die, will be the Saitek Cyborg V5, which other than a red backlight (instead of blue) looks identical.

Simple keyboard but with a good weight (1.1Kg) for aforementioned burglar clubbing capability. No funky key placement, and only additional buttons for volume and backlight brightness.

I don't need or want additional programmable keys, usb hub, etc so this keyboard is perfect for me.

I'll look into that right now and see what it's like.
What is it like to type on? does it feel like a nice keyboard to type on? I'd hate to get a keyboard that makes it awkward to type on.

edit:

the look of it, I don't really like it, but it's cheap and would save me quite a bit of money, hmm.

I love the keyboard and it's great to type on, but with any input or output device it's a very subjective thing, so only your opinion really matters.

It is cheap(er) though, and the saving would get you the graphics card mentioned above, which I think is a way better use of the cash.

That is quite true, I would love to get a good keyboard for a more affordable price, the better GPU is the better way to go I think.

Oops, didn't fact check enough.
That was for the non-ultimate edition, I was confused by the pictures being exactly the same. £110 looks like the going rate for the 'ultimate version'

Just to confuse you further you can get that Razer keyboard for £70 from a couple of other reputable sites, with free delivery.

They are a little ambiguous as to whether that includes VAT or not, but its either a cheaper price, or way cheaper..

Indeed, I do want the keyboard, although it kind of baffles me that you're paying basically £40+ more for backlighting, usb ports and audio/headphone jacks, a bit pathetic if you ask me, yes it's a wonderful keyboard but for that price? grr, not sure.

Wish it was on offer, lol
