I have been wanting to upgrade my main system for some time now, and have recently come into to a small amount of money which will finally allow me to do so.
I have been an AMD user for some time now mainly due to the cost and being honest i find they usually handle what i want them to do.
I do use my system mainly for SWTOR online at present but do play a few other games.
Currently my main pc is built around an AMD Phenomm 940 with 4 gig ddr2 ram and did have an AMD 5870 in it till the psu died a couple of months back.
I currently have a brand new Corsair TX650 waiting to go in and have recently aquired a 6950 which i mangaged to fully unlock to a 6970 which is in my back up system.
Cooling wise my main system is WC using a D4 pump, res and a Thermochill PA 480 as well as an EK Supreme WB so this will stay and be transposed to the new system all housed in a Lian-Li A20 which i have modified slightly.
Here is what ive chosen so far

Now i have heard/read rumors that the Amd Piledriver chips should be released sometime this week coming and was wondering if i should wait a little and see and swap out the cpu for one of the new ones when they do.
The memory and SSD's can and probably will be swapped out for ones that feature on the This weeks offer if i can find better for the same price or less.
The Game pad is to replace a yber Snipa flexiglow which is showing its age ( i just hope i can get used to the new one)
I'm hoping to process the order on wednesday and will of course be looking at OC which ever cpu i do get so any help with the componets ive chosen or slightly better for arround the same price would be nice.
Im not obversed to intel but looking at current prices i dont think i can afford a system based around them which will give better performance at the the current £500 or so ive set my budget at.
I could save myself £140 by using the AMD Phenom II X6 1090T in my back up system but as that system is running just fine i do not whish to mess with it in any other way than by changing over the new 6950 for my old 5870. It would also mean i would have to chosse slower DDR3 which in turn would also save me a few extra £'s
