I'm thinking of switching over to 1440p from 1080p but I'm not sure my 660 will deliver at that res.
I'm looking at SLI with the 660 for the extra gunt as I've already got one which will cut the overall money spent, 7990/7970sli or waiting for the new R9X.
Second worry is my PSU being able to handle the gpus with the rest of my system.

Thanks in advance.

With that setup id recommend selling your 660 and using a 7990. :)

ah but some games dont like the dual core cards or sli sometimes... i would personally wait for the new cards to come out... or get a titan!

If I had to buy one card I would go for the HD 7990 in preference to a Titan or R9 290X. Dual cards work most of the time and in a worst case scenario where there is no CF support you are still running on a HD 7970 as a minimum.

What games are you looking to play, that way we can let you know what the multi gpu support is like.

Hey chaps, been mulling it over the past few days an the 7950 Ice-Q editions look nice for Crossfire, but I get the feeling 7950-7970 will jump in price tomorrow after the R7/9 series launches :/

Games wise - Dota2, Arma3, BF3/4 an the other 200 games on my steam list haha.

Also my sig is wrong its a 700w Gold Coolermaster not 750w so I don't know if it'll handle the crossfire or not.

You'll be fine with that psu with either a 7990 or a 7950 crossfire setup. The games you mentioned all work well with multi gpu. Not sure about Dota2 though.
