Upgrade help

Hey guys,

Thinking of doing a small upgrade to my system but can't decide where to focus most.

Cpu:AMD PII 955 @ 3.8ghz
Mobi: gigabyte 790FXTA-UD5
RAM: 16GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600
Hdd: Spinpoint F3 1TB
Gfx: amd msi 7970
Cooler: Titan Fenrir
Psu: CM 600w modular
Case: Fractal Design Define R2
Monitor: x2 24" Acer

I'm willing to spend around the £200 mark.

My main uses for the system is gaming, playing a little WoW, far cry and GTA 5 when its out for pc! I also use unity/udk, but rarely, as I have another system for that.

So, perhaps CPU? Mobo? Ssd? Or even a psu?

Biggest upgrade would be a new GPU, the 7970 is still very capable and would assume the 955 is holding you back (good chips, but aged now).

was fearing you would say that haha. I've had the old 5770 since last week which could barely play some of the new stuff, but I came across a second hand 7970 for £50, so I went for it. I know it's an oldish card, but it's certainly a lot better than my old one!

So say I was to cross off getting a new gpu for now, which CPU would you recommend? And will my Mobo support it?

TBH those specs wont do justice in todays age of gaming.
Would seriously invest in more modern parts)
Even in 1080p

Would you care to recommend to me where to begin investing specifically? I can't buy everything in one go as of now, but I plan to upgrade part by part over the next couple of months.

CPU+Board seems the obvious candidate.

Do you have the intel 1156/55 fittings for the Fenrir?
