Evening,

PC has reached ~5 years old now and starting to struggle with the latest titles. I'm looking to upgrade to make 1440p@144 possible for a budget of around £800-£1000 (if that's possible) with a preference for AMD/Radeon.

Current specs:

Mobo: Asus Z97-K Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon)
GPU: KFA2 GeForce GTX 970 OC Silent "Infin8 Black Edition" 4096MB
GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
RAM: Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-14900C9 1866MHz Dual
Channel Kit
PSU: SuperFlower FX 450W '80 Plus Bronze'

I know probably all of the above parts would need upgrading but just looking for the best bang for buck composition in the budget I have. My first thoughts are as below;

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £935.96 (includes shipping: £11.10)

Cheers.

Welcome, If you want the CPU to last 5+ years then it's worth spending extra on an 8 core especially as that's the CPU going into the next gen consoles later this year.

3600 ram speed is the performance sweet spot for ryzen, although if you don't mind manually overclocking ram you could save on this.
