Hi, I got my PC in 2011. I have changed GPU twice but the PC is now still slower and not so quiet anymore.
I am thinking of moving to smaller and quiter case.
My new PC:

(old parts)
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155
Asus P8P67 Intel P67 (Socket 1155)
Corsair Vengeance Pro Blue 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory
Cooler Master GeminII M4 Low Profile CPU Cooler
Intel SSD 128 GB + 2x WD 1TB each + 320GB hitatchi backup HDD

(new parts)
Corsair Carbide 400Q Silent Midi Tower
Zotac GeForce GTX 970 Gaming Edition 4096MB GDDR5
Corsair 650W 0 RPM PSU
4x 120mm fans (9.5db each, cant remember the name now)

My goal is to have it silent or low noise as I am watching movies in bed before I fall asleep. I am also moving to smaller case, as small as possible but with old Mobo as I can't afford full upgrade for now.
Would you recommend any changes to new parts ?

If you want near silent then i would go for a 970 with 0 fan speed at idle which i think the msi is. The Asus Strix is very quiet at full load and low fan speed at idle.

I was planning to use software on GPU to turn off fans when on there is no need for them to spin but kick in only when GPU get warmer and ramp up up to 100% when hot. I found that the Zotac is also a lower electric noise card compared to others but is there much difference in efficiency?
