If you have a stand alone duplicator
That should work
Or whoever is the drive manufacturer
Normally they have free toolbox software
Which includes cloning
Assuming you have a free internal port
To connect the new drive to
While cloning it
If you have a stand alone duplicator
That should work
Or whoever is the drive manufacturer
Normally they have free toolbox software
Which includes cloning
Assuming you have a free internal port
To connect the new drive to
While cloning it
The only thing it may depend
On the actual duplicator
Whether it resizes to fit the whole larger drive
Or just copies it as 256GB
And an unallocated partition making up
The rest of the 512GB
So you may need to go into windows disk management
Afterwards
And extend it to the full usable 512GB
By partitioning the unallocated space then merging it
With the copied partition
Some cloning softwares automatically do this
Not sure about hardware duplicators
